Bill was born William John Holly II in Sacramento, California and was raised in Springfield, Oregon up the McKenzie River.
Bill was in the first graduating class of Thurston High School, and later graduated from the University of Oregon. He went on to get a PhD in Philosophy at UC Irvine in 1975.
He has taught courses at the University of Oregon, Pitzer College, California State University at Stanislaus (7 years), and for the past 20 years has taught philosophy and ethics at Modesto Junior College.
Bill Holly has been happily married to Amalie Holly for the past 25 years and is the proud parent of 6 children and 5 grandchildren.
In his spare time Bill Holly enjoys fossil hunting, writing, and walking his pet beagle, Daisy.
